Jammu, June 20 : Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Wednesday visited to the family of martyred Sepoy Choudhary Aurangzeb in Mendhar tehsil of Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.
The Defence Minister arrived Poonch on Wednesday morning.
She visited the martyred soldier’s family to console them and pay tributes.
Meanwhile before leaving for the national capital, Ms Sitharaman told reporters, “I am here to console the family. I am impressed with the bravery and patience the family have.”
“I came to meet martyr’s family. I have spent some time here. One message I can take back from here is that here’s a family, here’s a martyr, who stands out as an inspiration for entire nation,” she said.
