Srinagar: Chairperson, Jammu Kashmir State Commission for Women, Nayeema Ahmad Mahjoor Wednesday resigned from her post.
Sources said Nayeema sent her resignation to Governor NN Vohra and chief secretary early today, sources said.
The development came a day after BJP pulled out of the coalition with PDP and paved way for the governor’s rule.
Nayeema was a journalist before she joined People’s Democratic Party (PDP) after she was appointed as chairperson of the Commission.(Agencies)
