Srinagar: Shadow Foundation in collaboration with J&K Bank on Sunday organized a free medical camp at Faqir Gujri here. Around 200 people were screened by a team of doctors included physicians, pediatricians, ophthalmologists and gynecologists. The people were provided free medicines; some medical tests were also conducted. The people expressed satisfaction over the free medical camp and requested the Shadow Foundation to conduct more such camps in future. The area – Faqir Gujri – is the far-flung region in Srinagar district which lacks the basic life amenities. The people crave for medical attention and the camp enthused in them a sense of empowerment. The Shadow Foundation will continue to hold such camps in near future and try to reach more such areas that feel neglected and cut off from the rest of the world.
