Srinagar, Jul 13 : PDP president and former chief minister Mehbooba Mufti on Friday warned Delhi that if it tried to break her party the way Delhi did it in 1987 then people like Salahudin and Yasin Malik will emerge again and will have dangerous consequences.
According to the KNS correspondent, after paying floral tributes to 1931 martyrs at martyrs Naqashband Sahab graveyard in old Srinagar city, PDP president said that disputes are not new as conflicts are part of the political wok culture in political parties and PDP knows to resolve issues of internal dissidence.
However, she warned Delhi that if it tried to break PDP to form a new Government in Jammu and Kashmir it will have dangerous consequences to the extent of giving birth to people like Yasin Malik and Syed Salahudin as was witnessed after poll rigging in 1987 assembly elections.
Appealing all political parties to come to Naqashband Sahab graveyard for paying tributes to them, Mehbooba said “1931 martyrs laid down their lives against autocracy and for popular rule in the state. All of us are duty bound to carry forward their mission.
