Srinagar: Police launched searches in village Dangerpora Arihal of south Kashmirโ€™s Pulwama and recovered huge quantity of explosive materials from the house of one Bilal Ahmad Ganai, police said on Tuesday.

The recovered arms and ammunition included a detonator, detonating material, connecting wires, electric chargers, batteries, mobile phones and remote control activating devices.

Some of the seized items are marked with symbols of Pakistan, police added.

As per police separately searches were also carried at village Naina Batapora and a Chinese pistol, 7 live rounds 9 mm, 1 magazine and 1 7.62 mm round was recovered from the possession of one Sabzar Ahmad Mir resident of Khellan.

Police said that cases have been registered in both the seizures and the accused persons were taken in custody for further investigation.(Agencies)
