Srinagar: Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) has been launched by the government forces on Saturday in Balgarden area of Batamaloo in Srinagar, sources said.
Local sources said that a large contingent of SOG and CRFP personnel cordoned the area and started searches triggering panic among people.
Witnesses told Kashmir Reader that cordon and search operation started by checking vehicles and frisking pedestrians.
House to house searches were going on, local sources said.
Pertinently, a CRPF soldier was killed in a militant attack in Batmaloo area of the city some days back.
