Srinagar, July 26: Police on Thursday claimed to have arrested four gamblers and recovered stake money from their possession in Saida Kadal locality of this capital city.
In a handout issued this evening, an official spokesman said that a police team led by SHO Nigeen Riyaz Ahmad Khan carried out a raid at Saida Kadal and arrested four gamblers and recovered a cash of Rs 50,200 from their possession.
Police spokesman identified them as Bashir Ahmad Mir, Gowhar Rasool, Ghulam Mohammad Dar and Aijaz Ahmad Bangi
A case FIR number 90/18 under section 13 Gambling Act was registered against them.
