Srinagar: Two militant have been killed in an encounter with government forces at a village in north Kashmir’s Sopore on Friday, police sources said.
They said that one body has been recovered from the gunfight site while as his identification was being ascertained. Police sources added that search for the other body was going on.
Earlier a gunfight broke out between the militants and government forces after cordon and search operation was launched in the area.
The gunfight between militants and government forces took place in Drusoo village of Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla, sources said on Friday.
The gunfight had started after contact was established with militants during a cordon and search operation (CASO) launched late last night. (Agencies)
