Pulwama, Aug 6, : Civil Society Pulwama has expressed deep anguish and has castigated police for not allowing Traders Federation of the district to hold peaceful protest in support of the retention of Article 35A.

Civil Society Pulwama president GN Malik told news agency CNS that except Pulwama, police allowed people everywhere to hold peaceful marches but in Pulwama people were not allowed to express anger against the assault on Article 35 A, which is unfortunate and unacceptable.

Malik said that Pulwama district have been turned into a security garrison where rights and liberties of people are being trampled under the jackboots. He said that Civil Society will present a memorandum about police highhandedness before the Governor NN Vohra in coming days. (CNS)
