Srinagar: A cheater, impersonating as vigilance commissioner, was arrested in Srinagar on Tuesday, police said.
Srinagar Police arrested the impersonator namely Javed Akhtar son of Abul Kalam and his wife Nishat Akhtar resident of House no F-82, G-10, Jawaher Park Lakashmi Nager, Delhi East who was impersonating as vigilance commissioner and was wanted in case FIR no 40/2018 under section 419, 420, 120B RPC of Police Station Rajbagh, police said.
Further investigation of the case is under progress, police said in a statement.
