Srinagar 08 Aug :    The local District Development Commissioner Angrez Singh Rana, while taking strong note of unauthorized absence of paramedical staff at PHC Chatroo on August 3, wherein during working hours a woman, who was injured, was denied treatment by the medical staff without any concrete reasons, appointed ADDC Kishtwar to conduct a discreet enquiry into the matter.

Based on the preliminary enquiry, the DDC terminated the services of Sanjeev Sharma, laboratory technician, and Mohammad Ishaq, ISM Dawasaaz, working under NHM, who were found to be on unauthorized absence from their duties. Besides, a permanent employee, identified as Sunil Kumar, a junior X-Ray technician, has also been recommended for termination.

In addition, the DDC, taking cognizance of lapses on the part of Dr Shafqat Javeed Zargar, in-charge Medical Officer PHC Chatroo, who allowed leave in favour of 9 out of 27 employees, thus affecting the health care delivery system in the PHC, was also suspended.

Meanwhile, for the smooth working and functioning of PHC Chatroo, the DDC ordered Dy CMO Mohammed Yaqoob Mir to look after the work of BMO Chatroo, in addition to his own duties.
