Srinagar: Search for new Governor for Jammu and Kashmir is on and the government of India is planning to zero in on a former Jammu and Kashmir chief secretary, sources said on Thursday.
Highly placed sources told Kashmir Reader that the former bureaucrat, who is currently one of the advisors to Governor in Jammu and Kashmir is almost confirmed for the top post.
An order in this regard is likely by August-end, the source said.
The state is under Governor’s rule from June 20 after the BJP divorced PDP on June 19.
