Srinagar: Police on Thursday used water canon to foil a protest march of SSA teachers in Srinagar.
SSA teachers held a protest demonstration here in Srinagar demanding the implementation of 7th pay commission.
The teachers from various district of Kashmir valley assembled here in Sher-e-Kashmir Park and chanted slogans against the government for not fulfilling their demands.
The protesting teachers demanded implementation of 7th pay commission for SSA teachers, head teachers and Masters under RMSA.
As the protesters start marching police deployed in large numbers used water canon to disperse them. (Agencies)
