Mumbai, Aug 13 : The benchmark index of Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Monday slipped by 207.50 points to 37,661.73 on negativeglobal cues and as Rupee hit its record low of 69.53 per dollar.
Heavy selling in Materials, Energy, Industrials and Telecom stocks kept the market under pressure.
The National Stock Exchange (NSE) too dropped by 63.80 points to
11,365.70.
The Sensex registered intra day high and low at 37,693.19 and 37,559.26 respectively.
The Nifty recorded intra day high and low at 11,377.55 and 11,340.30 respectively.
Sectoral indices like Materials, Energy, Industrials and Telecom stocks kept the market under pressure for another session today.
The losers were VEDL by 3.42 pc to Rs 216, SBI by 2.84 pc to Rs 295.80, Tata Motors DVR by 2.36 pc to Rs 136.75 and Yes Bank by 1.88 pc to Rs 375.80.
The gainers were Coal India by 1.68 pc to Rs 280.65, Sun Pharma by 1.64 pc to Rs 562.70, L & T by 0.94 pc to Rs 1276.85 and M & M by 0.74 pc to Rs 952.
