DSEK calls urgent meeting with JD’s and CEO’s to review the implementation of
detachment orders at ground level.

Srinagar: No teacher shall be allowed to work in Zonal Education Offices. This was directed
by Director School Education Kashmir Dr. G.N. Itoo in a meeting with JD’s and CEO’s of
Kashmir Division to review the implementation of the directions of the Government
regarding detachment of the employees at the ground level.
DSEK directed all the CEO’s to implement the directions regarding the
attachment of employees in letter and spirit and only avail the services of the teaching
staff in the offices as per guidelines already issued. DSEK directed the CEO’s to submit
the ground level implementation report in this regard by tomorrow, i.e. 20th August
2018 and said that the default if any in this regard shall be dealt strictly and the
concerned Chief Education Officer shall be answerable for the default.

Talking about another significant development by the Department, DSEK said
that the admission process in the 60 Model Kindergarten Schools which are being
established in all the Districts of Kashmir Division shall commence from September 15,
2018. DSEK added that in this connection, all the arrangements have been put in place.
Besides, child friendly toilets, these schools shall have smart labs and all other ultra
modern facilities present in KG Schools.

Taking stock of the availability of drinking water and toilet facilities in the schools,
DSEK directed all the concerned officers to take immediate steps to make the
dysfunctional toilets in schools functional and make sure the availability of drinking
water facility in all the schools.

During the meeting State Project Director Samagra Shiksha, Tufail Ahmad Mattoo
reviewed the salary scenario of SSA and RMSA teachers. SPD directed all the CEO’s to  make sure the dispensation of salary for the months of February and June to these
teachers immediately.

Director Academics JKBOSE Farooq Ahmad Peer informed the meeting regarding
current situation of the arrangements for framing of textbooks by JKBOSE. In this
connection, DSEK stressed not to compromise on the printing quality of the books.
The meeting was attended by Joint Directors of School Education and all Chief
Education Officers of Kashmir Division.
