Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Handicapped Association (JKHA) on Monday held a protest demonstration here in Srinagar and demanding implementation of disability Act in the state.

Scores of differently-abled people from various districts of the valley assembled at Press Enclave here and staged demonstrations over the alleged government failure to implement the Disability Act in the state, witnesses told Reporters.

Cops detained many protesters when they tried to take out a march to the residence of Governor N N Vohra.

The protesters threatened to go on hunger strike from August 31 if the government fails to implement the Disability Act in the state till August 30.
