Srinagar: The University of Kashmir on Monday announced the postponement of PG Entrance Tests scheduled on August 26, sources said.

In a notification issued today, Dir Admissions & Competitive Examinations, Prof Irshad A Nawchoo said that the postponed tests will be held on September 4.

The time and venue of the tests will remain the same though, as per the notification.

Sources said that step has been taken in view of the shutdown call of joint resistance leadership (JRL).

JRL has called for a two day shutdown on August 26 and 27 in view of the hearing on a plea seeking scrapping of Article 35-A of the constitution in the Supreme Court of India.
