Pulwama: A complete shutdown is being observed today in this south Kashmir district against the killing of a youth by government forces during an anti-CASO protest on Monday.

All shops, offices, commercial establishments and petrol pumps in the district remained closed today to mourn killing of Fayaz Ahmad Wani, who was shot dead by government forces in Chewakalan on Monday during anti-CASO protest, witnesses told Kashmir Reader.

Schools and colleges also remained closed amid apprehensions of widespread protests by the students against the killing, witnesses said.

The shutdown also witnessed thin movement of traffic on the otherwise busy roads of this south Kashmir district.
