Pulwama, Sep 5,: The brief exchange of fire between militants and the government forces resulted into the death of a non-local labourer in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

   On Wednesday morning, a group of militants attacked an army patrolling party of 55 Rashtriya Rifles. There was brief exchange of fire after which militants managed to escape from the spot.

   The exchange of fire lead to the injuries of a 17 year non-local labourer who received a bullet in his head. The wounded youth whom police identified as Arjun Kumar was shifted to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries at SKIMS Srinagar.

  The slain youth was a resident of Baraily, Pilibhit in Utter Pradesh (UP) and was working as a labourer at a brick kiln in the district. (CNS)
