Srinagar: After some anonymous persons called for it on Masjid loudspeakers, a complete shutdown is being observed in south Kashmir’s Shopian town on Friday sources said.
“Unknown persons called for a protest shutdown against slapping of Public Safety Act (PSA) against some youth,” said locals. However, it was immediately not known how many were arrested or slapped with PSA.
“Four civilians, including a non local were killed in forces firing at Gagren area of the town five years back on this day (September 7, 2013) local sources said. All shops and business establishments are closed in the town as per witnesses.
