Mumbai, Sep 18: Opening higher by 75 points to 37,660.19, on Tuesday, the benchmark index of Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) slipped by 56.94 points as selling was seen across the board.
The National Stock Exchange (NSE) eased by 25.05 points to 11,352.60.
The sectoral indices like Finance, Realty, Bankex, IT, Technology, FMCG, Health Care and Utilities pushed the sensex down, trader informed.
The Sensex registered intra day high and low at 37,745.44 and 37,495.67 respectively.
The Nifty registered intra day high and low at 11,411.45 and 11,342.65 respectively.
The losers were VEDL by 2.62 pc to Rs 228.50, Tata Motors DVR by 1.91 pc to Rs 138.30, Bajaj Auto by 1.39 pc to Rs 2817.35 and Tata Motors by 1.36 pc to Rs 256.65.
The gainers were Hind Unilever by 2.77 pc to Rs 1648.50, Yes Bank by 1.63 pc to Rs 323.80, Asian Paints by 1.05 pc to Rs 1318.95 and Sun Pharma by 0.87 pc to Rs 635.75.
