Sopore 26 Sep : Residents of Green town bypass area of Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Wednesday protested against R&B and Public Health Engineering (PHE) department for failing to provide adequate water supply in their locality.
Women of the area blocked Sopore-kupwara bypass road for several hours against bad condition of roads and non-availability of drinking water for the last two years in the area. The protesters shouted slogans against R&B and PHE department and accused the departments of ignoring their plights.
Officials of PHE deptt reached the spot and assured protestors that their grievances will be solved soon.
