Srinagar, Sep 27: An army soldier who was injured critically in a gunfight at Dooru area of Anantnag in south Kashmir succumbed to injuries in a military hospital.

 

A police officer told GNS that three soldiers suffered injuries during the gunfight at  Gakisgund area of Dooru.

 

The injured soldiers were identified as Happy Singh, Bopinder Singh and Kulwant Singh of 19 RR and were evacuated to nearby military hospital immediately.

 

The officer said that the critically wounded soldier Happy Singh succumbed to injuries.

 

Earlier, a militant has been killed during the gunfight while as two to three others reportedly managed to escape. (GNS)
