Islamabad, Sep 29 : As a measure to combat the increasing challenge of cardiovascular diseases (CVD), World Heart Day is being observed across the world on Saturday by creating awareness about cardiac disorders and prevention measures.
This year’s slogan “My Heart, your Heart” is aimed to encourage people to pay more attention to their heart health and that of others, a report in Radio Pakistan said.
World Health Organization says high blood pressure, increased cholesterol, smoking, lack of exercise and excessive consumption of fast foods are main reasons of heart diseases.
