Srinagar, Oct 04 (: The candidates who are contesting in the upcoming Municipal polls in Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday demanded adequate security to them till the elections are over.
Addressing a press conference here at a local hotel in Srinagar, the independent candidates who have filed their nomination papers for the polls slated to be held from Oct 08, 2018 here said that it sees that the BJP has hijacked all the process.
They said that they are not getting any response from the government over security.
“We demand the authorities to provide adequate security to the independent candidates who are contesting in the polls so that their lives are safeguarded,” they said.
