‘Threaten to boycott exams duties of BOSE’

Srinagar: An extraordinary meeting of the Central Executive of the All J&K +2 PSC Lecturers’ Association was held today on Sunday presided Nayeem Ahmad Parray .

The meeting was convened in view of ensuing J&K BOSE Annual Regular examinations 2018 of Higher Secondary Part I, and II. The association took strong exception to the move by the district or Sub-district authorities where in officials from other departments have been assigned to monitor and supervise the examinations starting from October 22.

This is despite of the fact that the department of education is full of officers of superior ranks like Chief Education Officers, Dy. CEO’s, Principals, Sr. Lecturers and Headmasters who could meticulously perform the monitoring duty as was the practice in past.

The association took strong resentment against this new trend and warned the authorities of boycotting the conduct of all examinations if people from other department are assigned the monitoring job. It was unanimously resolved that only the officers of the J&K Board not below the rank of Assistant Secretaries would be allowed to enter the examination centres.

The meeting ended with the resolve to ensure free and fair conduct of all the examinations without the interference of the people from other departments.
