Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir police Wednesday seized a vehicle carrying illegal timber and arrested a smuggler in apple township of Sopore in this north Kashmir, a police spokesman said.
“On a tip-off, a police party intercepted a vehicle at Sopore. During the search of the vehicle, police seized illegal timber from the vehicle,” he said, adding timber and vehicle has been seized.
One person identified as Bashir Ahmad War was arrested and a case under section 379 RPC, 6 FA registered, the spokesman added.
