Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Police on Thursday claimed to have arrested an over ground worker (OGW) affiliated with the Hizb-ul-Mujahideen militant outfit in Kupwara district recovered arms and ammunition from his possession.
“Joint party of Police and security forces apprehended one OGW affiliated with proscribed militant outfit HM namely Mohammad Shafi Magray son of Abdul Gaffar resident of Kandi at a checkpoint (Naka) established near HP Gas Godown in Drugmulla area of district Kupwara and recovered arms and ammunition from his possession,” said police spokesman in a statement.
Police has registered a case FIR No. 306/2018 under relevant sections of law and investigation has been initiated. (Agencies)
