SRINAGAR: Government Forces this morning launched a search operation in and around the previous gun fight site here in Fathe kadal area of Kashmir capital Srinagar.
Eyewitnesses said that Government Forces cordoned of the gunfight site and conducted thorough searches.
Two militants and a civilian were killed in a gunfight in this area recently while an SOG man had also lost his life.
A police official on condition of anonymity said that searches were conducted after receiving information about the presence of militants, however another official said that searches were carried out to sanitize the area.
Searches were underway till the filing of this report.(KNT)
