New Delhi, Nov 6 : Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested a Goods and Services Tax (GST) official along with a private person for allegedly seeking and accepting a bribe of Rs 6 lakh, the agency said here on Tuesday.

Assistant Commissioner GST, Delhi Jitender Joon and a private person Dinesh Khurana were arrested by the CBI, in a bribery case wherein the government official allegedly sought illegal gratification from a firm based in Karol Bagh area for favourably handling a case.

The alleged case was regarding a survey cum seizure operation against the private firm by the GST department wherein the official would offer help against gratification.(UNI)
