Srinagar, Nov 13 : Muhammad Qasim Wani on Tuesday took over the charge of Director Food and Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Kashmir.
After assuming the charge as director, Wani convened a meeting of officers here and reviewed the stock and supply position of food grains and other essential commodities in the Valley.
Wani also reviewed the stock position in the dumping stations including Machil, Keran, Gurez, Tangdhar and Ladakh.
He stressed the officers to work with zeal and dedication and ensure the timely supply of essentials to the consumers.
Wani was earlier warmly welcomed by the employees of the department.
Wani who took over as Food and Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Kashmir today has served on various key positions including Director Social Welfare, ADDC Bandipora, Baramulla and has also served as Joint Director in the Food Department.
He took over the charge of Director CAPD from Nisar Ahmad Wani.
