Srinagar: Militants today killed a civilian in a brutal act in District Shopian after he was kidnapped earlier in the day from Saidpora area of Shopian.
Police retrieved the dead body of civilian from village Hermain in Shopian. He has been identified as Huzaif Ashraf aged 19 years son of Mohd Ashraf alias Raja Kandur of Manzgam Kulgam. Body of Huzaif was handed over to his family after completion of medico-legal formalities.
A case under under relevant sections of law has been registered in the concerned Police Station and investigation has been initiated in the matter.
