Srinagar, Nov 28 : Member of Legislative Council (MLC), Yasir Reshi on Wednesday demanded immediate release of a pro-freedom activist, Muhammad Assadullah Parray of Hajin area of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
Reshi told KNS that there was no case registered against him as all the cases lodged against him were quashed by the court.
He said that Parray is under arrest from last five years and there are reports that he would be shifted to Jammu jail now. “Parray should not be shifted to Jammu jail due to his deteriorating health condition,” he said.
“All the prisoners from Sonawari who are lodged in different jails against no cases should be released immediately,” he said, adding that if Governor Satya Pal Malik is really sincere towards ending the sufferings of people the he must release all the prisoners against whom no cases are registered.
