Srinagar, Dec 22 (GNS): Pakistan on Saturday violated ceasefire in Keran sector of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Saturday morning.

An official said the Pakistan troopers targeted army posts of 3 Jak Rifles in Keran sector along Line of Control (LoC). “The Pakistan army started firing at 11:05 am and continued till 12:10 pm. The Indian army responded the fire strongly.

The official said that there was no loss of life or injury to anyone in the firing. “The situation right now is under control,” he added.

On Friday, army’s two Junior Commissioned Officers were killed in a sniper attack by Pakistan troops at Jumgund along the LoC in the frontier district.  (GNS)
