Omar says she is using ‘dead militants’ to appease voter

Srinagar: Former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah on Thursday hit out at another former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Mehbooba Mufti and said that she was using dead militants to try yo appease the voters.

Omar said that the architect of “Operation All-out” and the overseer of the operations that killed hundreds of militants since 2015 is now going from one militant home to the next trying to rehabilitate her “badly damaged reputation”.

Omar accused Mehbooba of using militants by sanctioning their deaths to appease the BJP.

Earlier while visiting south Kashmir’s Shopian district Mehbooba went to the residence of an slain militant.

Addressing media she said, “The militant families should not be harassed. If we’re fighting against militancy, their families have not committed a crime. Police don’t want to do it but directions are coming from somewhere. Governor should give clear directions that families shouldn’t be harassed.”
