Srinagar, Jan 06 : In a major boost to Peoples Conference, former MLA Tangmarg Muhammad Abbas Wani joined the party. Abbas is the fourth former legislator to join PC which has emerged as a strong political force in Kashmir.
Before Abbas, political bigwig Imran Raza Ansari, former MLA Zadibal Abid Ansari and ex-MLA Zanskar Baqir Rizvi joined the party which was founded in 1978. Former IGP and PDP candidate for Uri Assembly segment in 2014 polls Raja Aijaz Ali had also joined the party. In the last Assembly election, Abbas had defeated Ghulam Hassan Mir of Democratic Party Nationalist. (KNS)
