SRINAGAR, JAN 09 : State spokesperson BJP Altaf Thakur on Wednesday asked Deputy Mayor, Sheikh Imran to concentrate on his job rather than pointing figures on others.

 

Addressing Media persons here at Party office Jawahara Nagar Srinagar, he said that BJP has been doing everything possible for the people of the state.

 

โ€œIt is BJP that introduced Ujwala Scheme. Under the scheme 12 Lakh gas connections were provided to the people across the state. We also introduced insurance scheme- Ayushman Bharat, under the scheme insurance cover was provided to 50 crore people of the country. (sum insured- rupees 5 Lakh), it is BJP that secured the future of the daughters by introducing โ€œBeti Bacho Beti Padho schemeโ€.

 

When asked that Deputy Mayor Sheikh Imran had recently said that BJP isย  communal, he said that his party does not believe in communalism.

 

โ€œMy party has always strengthened the pillars of secularism and communal harmony if working for people is communal then i have no hesitation in what imran has said about my party. If working towards development is being labeled as communal then I am proud to be one,โ€ he said.

 

Among others programme coordinator Kashmir Ashok Bhat and Election incharge Kashmir Asif Masoodi were also present. (Agencies)
