An official said that the vehicular movement was stopped in view of heavy snowfall around Jawahar Tunnel.

Traffic movement was suspended on Srinagar-Jammu highway on Saturday following fresh snowfall, officials said.

“Snowing heavily at Jawahar Tunnel on Jammu-Srinagar NHW, vehicular movement stopped. @JmuKmrPolice,” traffic police said on Twitter.

Widespread snowfall started across the Kashmir valley on Saturday as the weather office said there would be an improvement in the weather from Sunday.
