Srinagar, Jan 18:  Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) has claimed responsibly of the grenade attacks in Srinagar and Shopian on Friday.
A spokesperson of JeM Mohammad Hassan in a statement issued to GNS claimed that three forces personnel were critically injured in the attack on a CRPF vehicle at City Centre Lal Chowk just few steps away from the Ghanta Ghar (Clock Tower).
He also said that several forces personnel were critically injured in the attack at Gagran in south Kashmir’s Shopian district.
Earlier in the day, suspected militants lobbed grenade on police (SOG camp) in Gagran, Shopian. However no loss of life or injury was reported. At noon, grenade was lobbed at CRPF vehicle in Lal Chowk.
A police official said two incidents of greande attacks by militants took place at Srinagar and Shopian.
The officer said that no loss of life or property was reported and that the investigations in both the incidents are going on. (GNS)
