Srinagar, Jan 30  Expressing happiness over Suman Kumari taking over as Pakistan’s first Hindu woman judge, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) president Mehbooba Mufti said it is heartening to see the country allowing minorities to play a role in nation building.
Ms Mehbooba, who is the former chief minister of J&K, hoped that this development allows them (Pakistan) to revisit their blasphemy laws.
“Heartening to see Pakistan allowing minorities to play a role in nation building. I hope this development allows them to revisit their blasphemy laws,” the PDP president wrote on micro-blogging site twitter.
