Ladakh: The Jammu and Kashmir government Friday transferred and posted Saugat Biswas as the first divisional commissioner of Ladakh.
An order, issued from the general administration department, reads, “Consequent upon the creation of a separate administrative, revenue division for Ladakah, Saugat Biswas, special secretary to the government, information technology department, holding the charge of secretary, information technology department, has been transferred and posted as divisional commissioner, Ladakh.”
The officer shall remain headquartered at Leh for three weeks and in the state capital for one week in a month, the order states, adding that Biswas shall also continue to hold the charge of secretary, information technology department, till further orders.
