SRINAGAR: PDP chief and former chief minister Mehbooba Mufti, today launched protests across the Valley against the ban on Jamaat-e-Islami in Kashmir by the central government.
“We will protest in every nook and corner of the Kashmir valley until the Centre lifts the ban on Jamaat-e-Islami and release its member,” she told reporters.
She said, “We want that the ban must be lifted. We’ll go to district level now, then we will go to every segment. Elderly people who have been arrested must be released”. (Agencies)
