Jammu  March 11: Director General of Police Dilbag Singh has sanctioned scholarship of Rupees Ninety thousand in favour of wards of those deceased police personnel, who died while in service due to natural/accidental deaths.

Rupees 5000/ each has been granted to the eighteen wards of deceased police personnel, studying in  different classes which include six students of nursery and primary class, eleven students of middle, secondary/higher secondary classes and one  is pursuing graduation.

The amount has been sanctioned out of Central Police Welfare Fund for the academic year 2017-2018 and 2018-2019. The scholarships are granted every year for the wards of deceased police personnel to provide them assistance in pursuing education.
