After three-month long winter vacation, schools and colleges resumes usual classwork

Srinagar (KPS): The schools in Kashmir today re-opened after three-month long winter vacation, the state education department said. The schools were closed since December 6 last year and were scheduled to reopen on March 1st 2019. However the Govt announced extension upto March 10 due to intense cold wave conditions in the region.

Students were seen very happy while going to their schools after the long vacations and the teachers were seen busy in welcoming the students. The students expressed joy over the warm welcome they received in their schools.

“It seems all of the students were eagerly waiting for the reopening to educational institutes, so as to meet friends. Being in home has always been boring for us. We pray for the betterment of every here in valley as students have been the moat worst sufferers”, said girl students at kothi bagh school.

Meanwhile, Parents and students were concerned over the extension in the vacation.
keeping in the view the ongoing situation in the valley, the repeated closure of schools by the government has become a cause of concern for the parents. (KPS)
