New Delhi, Feb 11: AAP leader Amanatullah Khan is leading with 5,703 votes against BJP’s Braham Singh from Okhla.
The counting is underway for the Assembly polls for which the election was held on February 8.
At the time of the filling the reports, Mr Khan was surging ahead with 12,893 total votes, while Mr Singh garnered 7,190 votes.
Senior Congress leader Parvez Hashmi was distant third with just 833 votes.
The stir-hit Shaheen Bagh area falls under the constituency.
Since December 15, the women have been protesting there against Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and National Register of citizens (NRC).
On Monday, the Supreme Court had issued notice to the Centre and Delhi government on the petitions seeking clearance of Shaheen Bagh, Kalindi Kunj road where anti-CAA protests have been going on for over 55 days, saying it would hear the matter on February 17.
