Budgam, Feb 28, : A fire tender driver died due to his own “negligence” after he was run over by a vehicle from rear which he had parked on a sloppy track.

  Official sources told Kashmir News Trust that after dousing the fire in Charar-e-Sharief area of Central Kashmir’s Budgam district, fire fighters were collecting their equipments when a fire tender parked on a sloppy track spontaneously started moving in reverse direction. Although, the fire tender driver tried to avoid the vehicle, but it crushed him instantly.

  He was dragged out beneath the vehicle and shifted to hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.

  A police official identified the victim as Zahoor Ahmed Bhat, a resident of Hanjipora Chadoora. The official said that the driver had inadvertently parked his vehicle in neutral and that became the cause of mishap. (KNT)
