Srinagar, Feb 29,  Former Union minister and Congress leader Saifuddin Soz said he has written to Minister of External Affairs S. Jaishankar requesting him to facilitate the return of Kashmiris stranded in coronavirus-hit Iran and China.

“I pleaded strongly with the External Affairs Minister that it is a worrisome situation for Kashmir from where many people have travelled to Iran for studies and other pursuits and requested him to ensure that these students should travel back to their families,” Soz said.

He said he emphasized that the Ministry should ask the India”s Ambassador in Tehran to get facts about Kashmiri students and facilitate their travel back home or as the circumstances warrant.
