Srinagar, Mar 3: Concerned over the reports that male passengers are boarding buses exclusively for women, the Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Baseer Ahmad Khan Tuesday directed authorities to ensure only ladies travel in such buses.
He said that the buses plying for women exclusively in Srinagar City are not used by male passengers. The concerned officers were asked to monitor the directions on daily basis.
He further appealed people to maintain the discipline and not to board Ladies Special buses, troubling the female commuters.
The divisional administration introduced special buses for women passengers only in the city in 2016.
