New Delhi, Mar 10 : In a day which witnessed rapid political developments, former Member of Parliament(MP) Jyodiraditya Scindia, on Tuesday resigned from primary membership of the Congress, even as the party president Sonia Gandhi expelled Mr Scindia from party for anti-party activities.
In a letter addressed to Congress president Sonia Gandhi, Mr Scindia said that he is unable to serve people of his state, Madhya Pradesh, and country while being a part of Congress.
“Having been a primary member of the Congress party for the last 18 years, it is now time for me to move on. I am tendering my resignation from the primary membership of the Indian national congress and as you well know, this is a path that has been drawing itself out over the last year”, Mr Scindia wrote.
