Johannesburg, Mar 11 : Ten people including three children were killed in a head-on collision in Eldorado Park here on Wednesday morning.

“A minibus taxi collided with a light motor vehicle,” ER24 paramedics spokesperson Russel Meiring told Xinhua.

“Both vehicles had sustained a significant amount of damage in the collision. Several people were found scattered around the scene. Medics assessed the patients and found that ten people, including three children under 10, had sustained numerous, fatal injuries,” he said.

“The patients were treated and thereafter transported to nearby hospitals for urgent care. Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations,” Meiring added.

The number of injured people remains unknown.
